If we apply the wall sheets vertically, I think this will make the house look too tall. Hi we have a very old home in Western Australia in one of the Country Towns. Steel cladding can be amongst the lowest maintenance and most affordable ways to finish a building. The material is easy to install and will present a clean and crisp appearance for many years into the future.

Adam Dettrick Architects. The fabrication of metal cladding and roof sheet is a two-step process. The first step is the manufacture of thin steel sheets that are rolled up into coils.A profiled wall utilises metal cladding with trapezoidal, sinusoidal or half round profiles fixed to the steel structure of a building.

Cladding panels can be produced in 6 different profiles which can be laid horizontally or vertically and can be manufactured from prefinished steel or aluminium in a vast array of colours; providing a wide choice of aesthetic finish. Profiles are induced into sheets of material which are fed through banks of forming rollers in dedicated, state-of-the-art production machinery.

A profiled wall system offers a range of profiles, materials, colours and orientations to give a huge choice of aesthetic finish. The acoustic and thermal performance of built up cladding using profiled sheeting fully complies with Building Regulations Part L and can be adjusted to achieve specific requirements of the project. Standard lead times are five days from receipt of cut lengths, depending on the profile and colour.

The profile swage is added purely for aesthetic reasons. The profiles may be fixed, horizontally, vertically or even diagonally. Laying the cladding profile horizontally also allows the opportunity of including horizontally mitred corners or curved profile corners dependent upon choice and radius.

The wider crest of the cladding profile certainly enhances the curved eaves feature. In this, or in parapet wall situations the curved effect can be continued on the corners of the structure by the inclusion of curved mitred corners. These mitred corners may be manufactured at any angle to suit the structure. An additional profile swage is available on a range of our roof profiles, availability is indicated by the addition of an 'S' suffix to the standard profile description.
